This is it, my new account. Not much left of what was shown in the old gallery, but hopefully it will grow in the future! Wellcome, enjoy, and please don't stop teaching me!

For those of You who do not now me yet,I live with my husband and several cats and dogs on a farm on Åland Islands, Finland. My most time consuming passions are nature, literature, our garden and animals, and now, photography.

I got my first camera (Olympus SP 550UZ)in November 2007 and was quite soon desperately addicted. After hundreds of more or less poor pictures and lots and lots of patient help and advice from my DA friends I finally started to understand the basic functions of the camera and slowly show some improvement. In April 2008 my husband gave me the greatest birthday present ever : a Nikon D300 with Micro-Nikkor 105mm and Sigma 18-200 mm. The Sigma lens hasn't yet been of much use, but the macrolens took my breath away, it's GREAT!But it will take time to learn to make it do what I want.

I'm new, I'm learning and enjoying every minute of it!

And, yes, I'm using the old avatar 'till I'm ready for a new one. After all this whole photography thing is to me like getting to live the childhood I never had - joy of forms and colours, endless wonders of life and many, many happy hours dreaming of other, miniature worlds!
